THIS VALENTINE'S DAY weekend looks a lot different than last year's — but why not take advantage of the excuse to stay in and cozy up, or a reason to splurge and go out to eat for once? Houston restaurants have something for everyone: all the sweethearts, galentines and those who just need a little self-love this year.

FOR GALENTINE'S Head over to State Fare Kitchen + Bar for a girls' day out! Brunch, offered from 10am-4pm, includes a flight of sparkling rosé ($16), a mimosa carafe ($20) and can't-miss red-velvet pancakes with chocolate-covered strawberries ($15). Or opt for a traditional Valentine's dinner, featuring a steak and lobster duo, plus a red-velvet mason-jar cake with white chocolate mousse.

FOR A COZY NIGHT OUT For Valentine's weekend only, the Chalet at Rosie Cannonball is taking reservations. For $200, post up for two hours at one of the outdoor space's firepits with cozy blankets, a bottle of Krug and a dozen oysters.

FOR A SPLURGE-WORTHY MEAL AT HOME Mastro's is trying to seduce you with its meal deals to-go! The "flirty" package ($250), for example, includes a bottle each of sparkling and red wine, a 24oz Chateaubriand, garlic mashed potatoes, mushrooms and the steakhouse's red-velvet butter cake. Already have dinner taken care of? Top it off with the "passion" kit ($80), which includes half a dozen long-stem, hand-dipped chocolate-covered strawberries accompanied with a bottle of Moët.

FOR THE SUSHI LOVER Kata Robata's Chef Hori has just what sushi lovers need for a Valentine's night in — but folks should hurry, as there are only 30 orders available! The $200 meal-for-two includes two premium chirashi, two kobe beef skewers, four pieces of Iberico shumai, brussels sprouts and dessert. Add on a sake or sparkling rose pairing for $65. Email to order.

FOR THE HOME COOK Impress a loved one with the help of The Butcher Shop at B&B. Order takeout for two: Choose two appetizers, an entrée, one side and two desserts — plus complimentary chocolate-covered strawberries. Entrees are ready-to-cook with instructions on how to do so, and everything else comes pre-prepared, ready to reheat. Call 48 hours in advance to add a flower arrangement to your order! Just be sure to place your order online, or call it in before Friday at 5pm.

FOR THE BRUNCH BUNCH Indulge yourself and a loved one in a two-course prix fixe brunch from Traveler's Table — think morning churros, custard lava French toast or Louisiana fried chicken! The dine-in menu is $40 per person, and each guest gets a choice of a bloody Mary, mimosa, shot or mocktail. And for breakfast-in-bed, order takeout for two and get a bottle of sparkling wine for $90. This menu will be available from 10am-3pm on the 13th and 14th, and will be the only menu offered for brunch on Sunday.

FOR THE VINOPHILE Sit back, relax and let Mutiny Wine Room do all the work: At this charming spot in the Heights, find a three-course meal paired with wine each step along the way. Or bring the romance home with Mutiny's Champagne-and-dessert takeaway option: Veuve J. Lanaud, Cuvée du Cinquantenaire (a bubbly not available anywhere else in Houston!) and Chef Eduardo Alcayaga's Belgian chocolate gluhwein cake for $75. Call or email for reservations or to order.

Saba Syed, Founder of Oasis Moroccan Bath

How did you get to where you are today? My journey began with a need to be financially independent and an even a deeper drive to create a lasting legacy. The centuries-old Hammam tradition has always fascinated me—not just for its relaxation benefits, but for its holistic approach to cleansing the body, mind, and soul. So, combining my passion with a vision to bring an authentic yet luxurious Hammam spa experience to Houston, I took the leap less than two years ago to open my own spa.

Jacob Hilton, a.k.a. Travid Halton, at home in his kitchen, where he enjoys cooking as a form of therapy.

PINK FLOYD'S THE Wall. Sinatra’s In the Wee Small Hours. Beyonce’s Lemonade. Three divergent examples of the album as a cathartic, psychological, conceptual work, meant to be experienced in a single sitting. Houston singer-songwriter Jacob Hilton, 37, who records as Travid Halton, a portmanteau of his mother and father’s names, might balk at being mentioned in such company. (This is a thoroughly unpretentious man, who describes himself as an “archaeologist turned singer-songwriter.”)
