Stages Repertory Theatre’s Starstruck bash, held at The Corinthian, was its most successful ever, raising more than $380,000. ... Guests at TUTS’ One Night Only event came dressed in black-tie attire that pulled inspiration from the musical Dreamgirls. The gala honored “Dream Girl” Margaret Alkek Williams, a longtime patron of the theater. ... The Temptations headlined this year’s groovy, ’70s-inspired Alley Ball, and VIP guests got to meet and greet the band after a dinner of Steak Diane.

IT’S THAT TIME of year again: Wine Spectator, the world’s leading authority on wine, has unveiled the winners of the 2024 Restaurant Awards, which honor the world’s best restaurants for wine. This year’s awards program recognizes 3,777 dining destinations from all 50 states in the U.S. and more than 75 countries internationally. Houston, the fourth largest city in America, garnered 42 awards.
