BREWS AND BRUSHES WITH YOUR BOO Join B-52 Brewing on Thursday at 6pm for a colorful night of artistic expression and signature beers. Secure tickets for a painting class with Wine & Design here. Or, if making art isn't quite your speed, hit up the Valentine's Market on Saturday afternoon to buy some. Find meats, treats and last-minute gifts — and get the first taste of the just-released Tart After Dark, B52's cherry-chocolate-almond sour.

STREAM A CONCERT FROM THE COUCH Midtown's Beats and Eats goes virtual this Friday! Stream performances from Mango Punch and DJ Jorge starting at 6:30pm. Since food can't be catered to a virtual event, Midtown has partnered with area restaurants to promote local eats also encourage supporting local restaurants; Oporto is this month's featured eatery. Mouth-watering tapas and live music right from your own couch — what could be better?

BRIGHTEN THE WEEKEND WITH BLOOMS Brighten up any space or anyone's day with flowers this weekend! CityCentre hosts a Freedom Floral pop-up shop from 11am-1pm on Friday. There will be beautiful and unique arrangements at a range of price points, plus tulips by the dozen. Narco Sub is based on a true story about a retired Navy SEAL who was forced to pilot a makeshift submarine from Colombia to Miami after his family is kidnapped by a cartel. The movie was just released on Prime Video for rent or purchase.

What is your mission? The Children’s Assessment Center (The CAC) provides healing services to over 6,300 child sexual abuse victims and their families each year. We offer forensic interviewing, family advocacy, mental health services, medical care, and court services at no cost. We facilitate community outreach and prevention training to raise awareness about child abuse in our community and how to keep children safe. Last year, we provided prevention training to over 35,000 community members, including 23,500 children in schools.

What year was your organization launched? Urban Harvest’s Saturday Farmers Market started in 2004 with just seven vendors, providing an outlet for local farms, community and backyard gardeners to sell fresh produce harvested directly from their soils. Now in its 20th year, the market has grown to be one of the largest markets in Texas, supporting over 100 local farmers, ranchers, and food artisans all from within 180 miles of Houston. The market draws 3,000 customers every Saturday morning and includes many original vendors like Animal Farm, Atkinson Farms, and Wood Duck Farm.
