Postino

DINE-IN FUN

Postino Postino’s Old Skool Hippity-Hop Brunch is perfect for those who may not have an egg hunt on the agenda, but still want to get out and celebrate the season. Expect an extended brunch on Easter Sunday 9am-3pm, with your favorite old-school, ’90s hip-hop and R&B tracks, and a specialty $6 seasonal cocktail. All four Houston locations will be featuring live, vinyl DJs.

DESSERTS

Montrose Cheese & Wine Executive pastry chef Shawn Gawle is baking up scrumptious Honey Cakes for pre-sale this Easter. Light and layered, each cake is beautifully crowned with a beaded meringue and delicate flowers. All proceeds from the 6- or 8-inch cakes will be donated to No Kid Hungry. Dessert Gallery This Upper Kirby institution has all the bases covered with Easter cookies, artfulcakes and Passover treats. Hand-decorated Easter butter cookies, Easter cupcakes and carrot cake (even by the slice!) are all tempting. The Jewish-owned bakery also provides a wide array of Passover style delights including The Chosen Cheesecake: a strawberry cheesecake garnished with fresh berries on top of a white chocolate cheesecake layer made with matzo-meal crust.

Badolina Bakery In Rice Village, Badolina offers an extensive menu of breads, sweet pastries, tons of scrumptious cookies, and savory Open Foccacia. Whole cakes require 24-hour notice, and are available in flavors such as Raspberry Rose, dairy-free and gluten-free Orange Cake, and the showstopping Waves Cake.

NoPo Café, Market & Bar NoPo will be closed on Easter Sunday, but is accepting pre-orders for festive Easter cookies and darling mini carrot cakes with cream-cheese frosting, available for pickup by April 16. Note the restaurant is open Friday, April 15 for lunch and dinner and Saturday, April 16 for brunch and dinner.
